SUBJECT: Theft - Veterans Memorial

Date: June 7, 2002

On June 7, 2002, the Post Falls Police Department was notified by the Kootenai County Prosecutors office and informed that they had been contacted by an attorney who had a client with information on the whereabouts of the stolen Granite from the Veteran Memorial at the Post Falls Cemetery.  An agreement was made whereby detailed instructions led Post Falls Detectives to a remote location near Sandpoint. The granite was recovered and is currently in the possession of the Post Falls Police Department.  No other details are currently being released at this time.
