SUBJECT:
Vandalisms
Date:
August 25, 2008
Throughout
the day today, the Post Falls Police Department has responded to a series
of vandalism reports. At the time of this release, there have been ten
vandalism reports taken from several different locations in the City. We
are also investigating the theft of three golf carts from the Prairie
Falls Golf Course. All three of the carts have been recovered. The Police
Department started receiving these calls at approximately 2:00 A.M. this
morning.
It
appears that the suspect's in the vandalisms targeted the north side of
Post
Falls
, between the areas of
McGuire Road
and
Spokane Street
. Reported this morning were nine vehicles with windows shattered, it
appears that a rock was used in all of these cases. Six of these
vehicles also had the tires slashed by a sharp item, possibly a knife and
one of the vehicles was also “keyed”.
Of
the three stolen golf carts, one was recovered partially submerged in
Hauser
Lake
by the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and the other two were recovered
in a field near the golf course where they were taken from.
These
cases are actively under investigation and the department is seeking help
from anyone who may have seen something or has knowledge of any of these
incidents to call 773-3517. If you’d like to remain anonymous, you can
leave a tip on the tip line (777-COPS), or on the departments’ website
